This is an awesome model of an awesome siren.
In Oklahoma where I live, the dual tone Thunderbolt 1000T once was _the_ "tornado siren". That tremendous gruff sound had no other meaning than to look to the skies and to take shelter.
I think as much as the sound makes the Thunderbolt a siren that commands respect, it is also the appearance. Around here, the blower cabinet typically sat on a concrete pad on the ground with the standpipe attached to a utility pole; the head some 35 feet in the air. Looking up at that large square horn inspired, quite honestly, a little fear in me.
This model captures the look of the prototype faithfully as do Ralph Radcliffe's other sirens.
